In an increasingly negative world, Mikaela seeks to create work that unifies rather than alienate. Using the four-pointed star and light manipulation, Stardust requires the individual to see their body reflected in the greater scope of the universe. The work allows the viewer to engage with light through an interface made of stars. When matter is neither created or destroyed, at a base level we are all made of the same pieces, of stardust.
